バードハウスづくり
ブルックリンの野鳥達が巣作りを始める時期ですね。
バードハウス（あらかじめ組み立ててあります）をペイントしたりデコレーションしてオリジナルのバードハウスをつくりませんか？
日程：５月３１日　（日曜日）雨天中止
場所：BJAFAコミュニティーガーデン Heaven’s Gate Community Garden

最寄駅　地下鉄Gライン　Myrtle Willoughby Ave Station　下車５分
時間：　　12時-2時
参加費：　15ドル　（材料費込み、仕上がったバードハウスはお持ち帰りいただけます）
定員：　　25家族
対象年齢：4歳以上 (４歳以下のお子様も保護者の方がお手伝いいただければ参加可能です）
日本語、英語同時進行で行われます。
収益はすべてBJAFAを通じてコミュニティーガーデンに寄付されます。どろんこになってもよい服装でお越しください。バードハウスを飾りたい小さなオブジェなどもお持ちください。（ボタン、フェルト、リボンなどなんでも）
止まり木に使える枝などもあるとよいですね。（ガーデンで見つかるかもしれませんし、ご自分であらかじめご用意されても結構です）
収益はすべてBJAFAを通じてコミュニティーガーデンに寄付されます。

ビジュアルアーチスト、環境問題研究家、そしてBrooklyn Waldorf  School 教師アシスタントでもある。バンクーバー生まれ。
コロンビア大学　MFA修得
Yale University、Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture、Nova Scotia College of Art and Designで美術を学ぶ。現在はブルックリンウォードーフスクールの教師として活躍中。

ブルックリンを拠点にデザイナー、ライター、ガードナーとして活動中。
パナマ人とドイツ人の血を受け継ぐ東京育ちのバイリンガル（日本語＋英語）

THE BIRD HOUSE
Date:       May 31st Sunday
Location: Heaven’s Gate Community Garden
                Subway; G line Myrtle Willoughby Ave Station, 5 min. walk from subway station
Time:      12:00~14:00
Fee:        $15 (Free event family lives in the block)
               up to 25 families
Build, paint and decorate
explore everything bird
Dress in clothes that love to be dirty
Bring snack and small loved things to embellish your bird house
Including a beautiful stick to become the perch
Taught in Japanese + English
1 garden box per family
All proceed goes to the garden
Workshop teacher (in English)
Mira Hunter is a visual artist, teacher and environmentalist who adores watching things grow. She has studied at Yale University, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, graduating with a MFA from Columbia University in 2013. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and works as an educator at the Brooklyn Waldorf School.
Workshop teacher (in Japanese)
Alexa Fábrega is a designer, writer, and gardener, based in Brooklyn, New York. Raised in Tokyo, Japan, of Panamanian and German heritage, she is bilingual in Japanese and English.  Alexa holds a BFA in Interior Architecture from California College of the Arts, a MSc. in Environment and Resource Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a MSc. in Sustainable Environmental Systems from Pratt Institute. Her interests are in slow design, cultural geography, and urban ecology.
