Beginner Japanese 2
This class is ideal for students who have completed Beginner Japanese 1 or are already familiar with hiragana, basic sentence structure, and greetings. You will continue building a strong foundation in daily conversation, vocabulary, and grammar.
Course Objectives: Develop fluency with common sentence patterns, particularly with adjectives and basic verbs. Students will learn how to describe people, places, and things more accurately, express likes and dislikes, talk about frequency, and begin using past and negative forms of verbs and adjectives. The course also introduces practical communication skills such as telling time, asking questions, and talking about location and daily activities.

Beginner Japanese 5
This class is perfect for those who are confident using a variety of sentence patterns in everyday conversations. In this final level of the Beginner series, you will cover all the essential grammar needed for basic Japanese communication, completing the entire GENKI I textbook.
Course Objectives: Master the core grammar and vocabulary required for natural, everyday conversation in Japanese. By the end of this course, you will be able to speak with greater fluency, accuracy, and confidence, and you will be prepared to move on to our Conversation class. This level also corresponds to the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N5 level, making it an excellent goal for students who want to measure their progress.

Beginner Japanese 1
Start your journey with the essential foundations of Japanese! This class is perfect for those who have never studied Japanese or for those who learned a little but have forgotten it all.
Course Objectives: This class is designed for those who want to learn Japanese for the first time. Establish fundamental knowledge for learning Japanese, including mastering Hiragana, basic numbers, classroom language, common objects, essential greetings, self-introduction, and basic sentence structure for stating facts.

Beginner Japanese 3
This class is ideal for those who have completed Beginner Japanese 1 or can read all hiragana. You will continue to learn essential Japanese used in everyday conversations, building on the foundations you’ve already acquired.
Course Objectives: Deepen understanding of verbs and learn how to connect ideas smoothly. This level introduces sentence patterns used in daily interactions and helps students express actions naturally. Through various ways of using verbs and adjectives, students will learn to describe more complex emotions and situations.

Beginner Japanese 4
This class is ideal for those who have completed Beginner Japanese 3 or are comfortable using basic sentence patterns with verbs and adjectives. You will continue to develop your ability to communicate in everyday situations with more accuracy and confidence.
Course Objectives: Strengthen your understanding of verbs and adjectives, with a focus on mastering the short form and using casual, direct styles of speech. This level also introduces practical grammar such as comparatives and quoting others. Students will learn to express themselves more naturally and fluently in a wider range of everyday situations, including more nuanced conversations.
