BJAFA Calligraphy Spring Special Class
Have you ever heard of Japanese Calligraphy? It is art, a way of communication, but also a Zen practice of mind and body. (Calligraphy was registered by the Japanese government as an intangible cultural asset in the fall of 2021.) Whether you are a beginner or want to improve your skills, come join us for a calligraphy class at the BJAFA office located in Industry City.
The instructor is Yuki Fukushima Hladky, a master level calligraphy instructor certified by Gakushoin (established in 1958), a Japanese calligraphy organization. She has been teaching for over 10 years and can teach in both English and Japanese.
For this special class, BJAFA will provide a set of calligraphy tools, so those who do not have their own tools can feel free to join.
We plan to offer continuing courses in the spring and beyond, so please join this early spring special class first. You can choose to attend only one or both classes.
